I want to create a more diverse, sustainable and equitable Minnetonka for our children and for future generations to come.

Let’s keep Minnetonka moving forward!

For the past four years it has been my honor to serve on the Minnetonka City Council, representing Ward 4. We have gotten a lot done together, from important affordable housing initiatives, to a substantial funding package that helped our small businesses weather COVID-19. I’m again asking for your support so we can continue the hard work we have started together!

Where we’ve been. Where we’re going.

I have worked hard to preserve what is wonderful about Minnetonka while helping those who have faced exclusion and challenges. I’m proud that the city has opened its doors and embraced the possibilities for change. We’ve invited everybody to the table—now it’s time to make sure all Minnetonka residents have what they need to continue to thrive! Find out where, when and how to vote here.

Accomplishments

Small Business Assistance

It was a tough time for small businesses and I worked tirelessly to help them survive and thrive during COVID-19. I also worked to help them improve wages for their employees with the MN Investment Fund.

Affordable Housing

I was instrumental in bringing the Welcome to Minnetonka loan program to assist new home buyers, as well as the Affordable Housing Trust Fund which is a multi-million dollar fund to create more homeownership.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion

The city started important conversations about improving inclusion and equity in the city we share; I offered my expertise and perspective at key points and I believe I’ve made a difference. We’ve come a long way, Minnetonka!

Issues

  • There is a punitive cycle in our criminal justice system that disproportionately impacts certain members of our community. By providing the necessary assistance through social services in Minnetonka and supporting diversion programs, we can assist our community members while simultaneously reducing crime.

  • I would continue to support programs in Minnetonka that promote affordable housing and wealth-building, such as the “Welcome to Minnetonka” loan program, which assists new home buyers. I would also continue to support the Affordable Housing Trust Fund, a multi-million-dollar fund that creates more home ownership.

  • It’s crucial to fund programs that help ensure the sustainability of our park systems, and to continue to educate residents about climate change. We need to encourage the use of public transportation, carpools, biking/walking trails, and and other sustainable modes of transportation. I hope to improve transportation and climate issues within the city of Minnetonka.
